#2 Zipline in the Australian Otway Ranges mid October
For thrill seekers, it’s a dose of fun! For the timid, torture.
For the Falyn Family Five, it’s a squeal fest, a pounding set of hearts, some comedic gestures, and endless smiling faces.
I admire and stalk birds (in a good way). The feeling of freedom evokes images of falcons on the wing for me. I want to be a bird when I watch them soar. So you can imagine, zipping along, 100 feet off the ground, high up in the canopy of the rain forest, I become a yodeling, giddy, ninny.
The same thing happened to the rest of the Falyn Family Five. Everyone lost themselves as they planed above the fern trees below, sideways glanced the giant Eucalyptus, and called in loud mono syllables to the bromeliads that live in the trees 80 feet from the forrest floor.
The only thing that could have made it better? An assortment of Koalas in the trees. Ah, well, it’s a birds’ life – happy to live it for a few brief moments.
